# Scrollr

> Scrollr is a quiet desktop ticker for live finance, sports, news, prediction-market, fantasy, weather, and system data. It is source available under GNU AGPL v3.0 and runs on macOS Apple Silicon, Windows x64, and Linux x86_64.

The always-on-top ticker can sit at the top or bottom of a chosen monitor. A separate desktop window is used to browse widgets and configure the ticker. The website provides marketing, account, billing, support, and download pages.

Privacy: no advertising trackers or data brokers. Operational diagnostics and authentication logs are used to run and secure the service. Website analytics default on only in the US after a local country check; elsewhere the site asks first. They are easy to turn off in the footer. Signed-in desktop analytics are on by default with an opt-out. All analytics are coarse and described in the Privacy Policy.

You can download and browse without an account. Sign-in is required to add live data widgets and sync settings. Live updates appear automatically when Scrollr receives them; upstream timing, corrections, outages, and the user's connection can affect arrival time.
